About Roberta
Roberta Gorin-Paracka is a digital asset manager, archivist, fashion historian, and writer. She is currently the Digital Asset Manager at The Philadelphia Orchestra, overseeing the preservation of decades of historic audio and video recordings, photographs and promotional material. She has a background in DAM and archives for non-profits and heritage brands, including Clinique, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Gap Heritage and Design Archives.
Roberta holds an MA in decorative arts, design history, and material culture from Bard Graduate Center and a certificate from L'Ecole du Louvre in restoration, conservation, and curatorial practices. She writes about fashion and beauty, popular culture, and design history, and is currently working on a book about the history of Henri Bendel, one of New York City's most iconic stores.
Roberta is also a freelance contributing writer for Teen Vogue, and has edited articles for publication in academic journals, including Fashion and Textiles: International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research.
She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and their feisty but adorable cat.
